Insurance that settles in days, not weeks

Policy, claims and underwriting platforms for carriers, mutuals and brokers. We replace the systems behind the promise one product line at a time.

What is changing

An insurer is judged at the moment of a claim, and many still settle claims on systems built when they arrived by post. Carriers are moving to modern policy and claims platforms and adding automation where it is safe, without freezing the products customers already hold.

Pricing has to respond to weather, inflation and new risks within weeks, not at the next annual release.

Brokers and policyholders expect to see where a claim stands online, not to be given a reference number and asked to wait.

Three shifts across the insurance value chain

  • Claims as a service, not a queue

Policyholders report, upload and track a claim from a phone. Simple claims settle the same week; complex ones go to a handler with everything already gathered.

  • Pricing that keeps pace

Rating engines separated from policy administration let actuaries change a rate in weeks, test it safely and roll it back if needed.

  • Automation with an audit trail

Reading documents and triaging claims are proving their worth. Regulators expect every automated decision to be explained, and so do customers.

What we do

How we help carriers and brokers

We work product line by product line, so there is always a working system and always a way back.

  • Claims platform modernization

A new claims core taking one product line at a time, with handlers trained before each move and the old core retired only when it is empty.

    Application modernization
  • Policy administration

Policy platforms configured to your products, with the rules kept in one place your own team can read and change.

    Enterprise platforms
  • Pricing and rating engines

Rating separated from policy, so actuaries can test and release a new rate in weeks, with every change versioned.

    Artificial intelligence and data
  • Broker and customer portals

Quote, bind, report and track online, through portals and APIs that brokers can build on.

    Integration and APIs
  • Document intake and triage

Claim forms, invoices and reports read automatically, checked by people where it matters, with every decision explained.

    Artificial intelligence and data
  • Fraud and security

Fraud signals built into the claim flow, and the policyholder data behind it protected and tested.

    Cybersecurity

Claims

A new claims core, one product line at a time

Halden Mutual has insured families for ninety years. When its claims system could no longer keep up, a single cutover was not an option: too many policies, too much at stake, and no appetite for a freeze.

Instead the new core took one product line at a time. Handlers moved with their claims, the old system shrank month by month, and customers noticed only that things got faster. Claims that once took nine days now settle in two.

Automation

Automation you can explain to a regulator

The first real returns from AI in insurance are in plain places: reading claim documents, routing them to the right team and spotting what is missing. Our research with 60 back-office teams found the same.

We put those tools inside the claims flow with clear limits. A person reviews anything above a threshold, every automated step is logged with its reason, and the whole chain can be replayed for an auditor.
